There are currently over two million companies in Poland, of which 99.8 percent are micro, small and medium enterprises. They are the driving force of the economy, generating nearly half of Poland’s GDP and employing over 6.6 million people. The specific needs, expectations and organisational conditions of the SME sector are also increasingly noticed by private healthcare providers.
Based on our experience, we can say that companies from the SME sector are open to investing in private healthcare. Currently, approx. 5,000 of our corporate clients are small and medium enterprises. Many of them are legal, accounting, consulting, and advertising companies, as well as market and public opinion research agencies. They also include companies and startups operating within the IT industry. We notice that many of the business owners, especially in these economic sectors, began their careers in large companies, where private healthcare was a standard benefit provided by the employer,
says Marzena Kołoszczyk, Mass Market Sales Director at Medicover Poland.
At Medicover Poland, we have created seven healthcare packages especially for the SME sector. We noticed that small and medium enterprises expect specific offers, from which they can choose the one that best suits their needs. This helps shorten the decision-making process and save time. Large corporations have different needs in this case, where the package has to reflect individual needs and expectations of a diverse group of employees. We also provide the option of concluding a contract remotely - often packages are bought on the phone and the paperwork is sent by post. We know that our clients from the SME sector appreciate having to deal with as little paperwork as possible,
Marzena Kołoszczyk explains.
Microenterprises are very similar to individual clients when it comes to choosing and managing healthcare packages. They often choose packages that provide a comprehensive range of consultations and tests, including hospital services. Ensuring the health and safety of their employees is of particular importance to these companies, because absence of even one person due to sickness can have a large impact on the functioning of the entire company,
